Cameron's 1st Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON JACOB

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

When a man finds out that he is going to become a father, he says things like “I just want a healthy baby”, which is true, but he also crosses his fingers hoping for a boy. I found out that I was having a son 6 months before you arrived and my thoughts immediately went to wrestling with you, playing sports, giving fatherly advice & preparing you for life just like your grandpa did for me. And then for you to be born on my birthday was just icing on the cake (although I have given up all rights to my birthday because you have completely taken over) but that was to be expected. The last 365 days have been unlike anything I ever experienced. Life changed forever on December 5, 2016 at 10:49 pm. Watching you grow and develop with such a big personality has been the greatest joy of my life. You can touch your nose, share your toys, clap your hands, pull things off the table and hand them to me & Mommy and just love music!

The Bubble Guppies helped celebrate your 1st birthday on December 1st at grandma’s house with all of your cousins. At first we thought you would sleep through the party until we sang happy birthday and you gave us a big toothless grin. The cake was a little messy for you. All kids like to smash the cake and feed themselves but you looked at the icing on your hands and threw it on the floor then looked at Mommy like “Can you get me a towel please?” A quick wardrobe change from into a Spiderman hoodie and sweats and you were back to playing & getting into everything. So many toys and clothes (which reminds me, we’re going to need a bigger car) that we couldn’t bring back everything.

On your actual birthday we had breakfast at OHOP & you slept while we visited Toys R Us. Mommy & Daddy went to the Jay-Z concert with Auntie Bri & Uncle Torey. Overall, your 1st birthday was a success. 20 more days…..and Santa Claus is coming! Happy 1st birthday my son.
